Waiting Waiting

Well, 2 days and 14 hours until my appointment. I talked to a friend who had the procedure done on August 28 and she has lost 50lbs already. She only started out at 222, but she's 5'1 so her "ideal" weight is like 105. She said she's feeling good and doesn't at all regret having the surgery. For the most part she said she can eat everything just in small portions. I'm getting excited and nervous at the same time. She said that she could have gone in for her pre-op the week after her consult but she had to work around her husband's schedule. So, maybe if I'm lucky I can have my pre-op next week and surgery before Thanksgiving. We'll see!

4 days 18 hours......counting down.......very antsy to go to the doctor!

OMG, this is going to drive me crazy......5 days and some hours......I'm sure it will drag by!

The Appointment Is Set

Well, if all goes well I'll meet with the surgeon next Thursday at 10:15 for my consultation. After the consult they'll give me my surgery date. Maybe this is actually going to happen. I'm still a little worried that something is going to happen and I won't get to have the procedure. I still haven't told anyone about this. I don't know how my family will react. I think that after the shock wears off they'll be supportive, but I just don't need anyone's opinion on a decision that I have to make. My husband is supportive so that's all that matters to me right now. Hopefully all will go well last week. I'm really nervous that if I start getting my hopes up something will happen. Anyways, 7 days until I get to meet with the doctor. I'm really excited about who it is because he called me back in February when I first started searching the internet for information. When I found out he was the doctor my insurance used and I attended his seminar I figured it must be "ment to be" for him to be my surgeon. Anyways, I'll be anxiously awaiting my appointment.

Well, of course, as soon as I leave the house the phone rings. At 3:30 the surgeon's office called and I wasn't home. I didn't find out they called until 4:58 and they close at 5, so needless to say I didn't get to call them back. They open at 8 so I will call first thing in the morning. I'm guessing it's good news that they're calling. Hopefully they can get me in for my consult ASAP. Will follow up tomorrow about my phone call.

Still Waiting

Well, I am still waiting for my referral to the surgeon. I spoke the the lady today and they should have the referral sent over the the surgeons office tomorrow. I keep saying to myself be patient but it is so hard.
